We install, repair and service DBCI doors across Massachusetts. For an existing roll-up sheet door, the useful starting point is its series and opening dimensions. An exterior photograph can show the general layout, but it cannot establish the curtain specification or the correct replacement hardware.
DBCI's 2500 Series is a heavy-duty sheet door for warehouse and freight buildings. Its product sheet lists a 26-gauge galvanized Grade 80 steel curtain with ribbed corrugation, deep-engagement guides and a polyethylene wear strip. Options include a chain hoist, vision panels, a hood and motor operation. These details give us specific components to document during a service assessment.
The 2000 Series is a light-duty option intended for frequent use in settings including warehouses, car washes and machine shops. DBCI lists an A.C.E. guide system, enclosed springs and a bulb astragal on the bottom bar. Its options also include vision panels, a hood and powered operation. A 2000 and a 2500 should therefore be identified by series, rather than treated as interchangeable because both have corrugated curtains.
Send the original installation record or invoice if available. Photograph any accessible model information, the whole opening from inside, the guides and the bottom bar. Keep the operator's model separate from the door series. We have not assumed a universal label location for DBCI doors; if identifying information cannot be reached safely, leave that check for the visit.
For a multi-door building, number the openings in your message. Record which door has the problem and whether the others have similar dimensions. That avoids applying one opening's measurements or service history to a different assembly.
Tell us if the curtain binds, a guide has been struck, the bottom seal is damaged or operation has changed. Describe the symptom without trying to adjust spring tension or dismantle the drum assembly. We inspect the affected opening before deciding what can be repaired and what needs replacement.
If the use of the building is changing, explain the expected operating schedule and access needs. Existing motor equipment, controls and door construction need separate checks before an installation is specified. Our commercial service, door repair and installation pages explain the next steps.
Have approximate clear width and height, inside photographs, series information and a description of the work ready. Call (781) 602-0737 or send an estimate request. You can also return to the brand directory.
