Service
A planned visit to check balance, hardware, and the reversing features before something breaks.

A tune-up is the visit you book when the door still works and you want it looked at. The technician checks whether the door stays put when the opener is disconnected, which is the practical balance test, and looks at rollers, hinges, cables, the bottom seal, and the sensors that reverse the door. A tune-up names those items. It does not tell you how to perform the tests.
Winter is when a marginal spring becomes a broken one, especially after a heavy wet snow. A tune-up before that season is a reasonable ask in this climate. It is not a guarantee that a spring will last a stated number of years. Springs are wear parts.
The visit can end with no parts, or with a recommendation for rollers, a seal, or a spring. You should get the estimate before any of that starts. Free estimates are offered. Ask for the tune-up figure on the estimate.
Same-day service is for failures as well as planned work, depending on the schedule. A tune-up is easier to place on a later day than a door that is stuck open.
Ask for the estimate. There is no coupon and no flat fee.
A new grind, a bang, or a door that reverses. You do not need to adjust anything before the technician arrives.
