Tyringham is a small Berkshire town of about 360 housing units. Ninety-eight percent are single-family detached (ACS B25024), and 90% of occupied homes are owner-occupied. Twenty-three percent of units were built before 1940, 26% from 1940 to 1979 and 17% in 2000 or later; the median year is 1981 (ACS B25034). About 38% of units are seasonal (ACS B25004).
The state inventory lists the Tyringham Shaker Settlement Historic District (1987) on the National Register (MHC inventory). No local historic district is listed.
The Building Inspector page says appointments with the inspector are scheduled by phone and that permit payments are mailed to the Town of Tyringham (Tyringham Building Inspector). Clear snow from the threshold before opening, and free a frozen door by hand.
Tell us whether the door is stuck open or shut and what the opener does when you press the button. If you're away, say when someone can be at the house.
We install Clopay, Garaga, Wayne Dalton and Amarr doors and service LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie and other openers.
