Clinton's housing is older and mostly multi-unit. Thirty-seven percent of units were built before 1940, 34% from 1940 to 1979 and 11% in 2000 or later; the median unit dates to 1956 (ACS B25034). Detached houses are 40% of units, attached units 11%, two- to four-unit buildings 24% and buildings of five or more 23% (ACS B25024). Fifty-five percent of occupied homes are owner-occupied.
