Janus supplies commercial roll-up doors and self-storage doors, with separate rolling sheet and rolling steel product choices. At MassGarage, we install, repair and service Janus products in Massachusetts. Describe the opening and the way it operates before choosing a service scope: a storage-unit curtain and a large insulated service door should not be treated as the same assembly.
Janus's self-storage catalogue includes roll-up and swing doors. Its documented 850 Series uses a corrugated steel curtain, an enclosed barrel assembly and factory-lubricated springs protected inside a tube. An insulated version is available. Those details make the model important when considering wear, curtain damage or a replacement.
For commercial sheet doors, the 2500 Series product sheet describes a corrugated galvanized steel curtain, a dead axle and barrel assembly, and an insulated version with top and side draft stops. If an opening is drafty or the curtain rubs as it travels, we inspect the installed configuration and condition instead of assuming the door needs a new motor.
The 600 Series insulated rolling service door is a different construction. Janus documents steel slats enclosing a polyurethane core, an enclosed hood, structural steel guides and a bottom bar with a weather seal. The product sheet lists a reduction gear chain hoist and optional electric operation. We can discuss commercial door work around the building's actual use, available space and existing equipment.
Include whether the opening serves storage, deliveries, a workshop or a climate-controlled area. When comparing repair with replacement, we consider the observed damage, the curtain's movement and the parts that can be identified for that model. A catalogue name alone does not confirm what was installed at the site.
The Janus commercial operator page lists Pantheon Commercial and Pantheon Mini alongside other operator choices. It specifies that Pantheon Mini is compatible with Series 1000 and 1100 only. That restriction is a reason to collect both the door and operator details before discussing automation. Our opener hub provides context for separating the control equipment from the door itself.
Send the opening width and height, the town, and pictures showing the full curtain, guides, hood and bottom bar. Add any readable model plate or original installation paperwork. We do not prescribe a universal Janus label location. Report approximate daily use and describe whether a problem occurs opening, closing or both.
